Hal came to our attention when he sold our daughter's house in the Westerleigh area or Staten Island in about 10 days last October. I thought that was a remarkable feat, so when it came time to sell our 2 Family house in the Willowbrook, he was the first broker I called. He sat down with us and we came up with a realistic selling price based on comparable sales and locations that Hal thoroughly reviewed with us. When it came time to actually list the property we received an offer within 24 hours and very close to our asking price which we accepted. We managed to close in two months despite the severe winter weather and the fact that we had already moved out of the house. Hal stepped in and took care of everything and made sure that the buyers remained happy and committed throughout the process. He worked with both attorneys, an engineer we had to hire as well as our maintenance man to make sure that the house was well presented and ready for sale. Mom was getting too elderly to handle her house in the Oakwood section of SI. Hal was professional kind and as others reviewers attest, honest. Jason Blake was our realtor, we dealt mostly with him although Hal was there if we needed which put our mind at ease. Jason helped us from start to finish and stayed with us through the entire process: starting just to look and get an idea, scheduling visits to potential homes, second looks and during the entire closing process. He was able to provide good insights for schools, areas that have what we're interested in (ex: walking distance to parks) and pet friendly areas. Jason really helped us identify things we may not have thought about as first time home buyers such as, finding somewhere we don’t outgrow. He was able to give us the opportunity to look at 2 bedrooms and finding out quickly it just wouldn’t be enough space for us and we would outgrow in a couple of years. We finally settled on a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom town home in a quiet community and not too far from our favorite parks as well as located in between our families and didn’t drastically change our commutes.
